I have upgraded one of my remote pfsense machines to 2.9.0. The upgrade process seems to have uninstalled the netbird package, which in turn caused wt0 interface to disappear. As the interface was assigned, this broke the boot after upgrade: pfsense went into interface mismatch mode and required access to console… and a trip for me to the remote box…
Any remedy to this problem?
Perhaps considering a rename of the interface to tun_wt0 so the out-of-the-box mismatch detection doesn’t trigger (and the current patch is not needed)?
I had to re-install after upgrading to 26.07. I previously made a bunch of patches via pfsense filer, but i have now posted those patches as pfsense system patches. look at my postes System Patch 1 to 5, they should solve your issues.
