No GUI, no icon in menu tray :(

Hello all,

First time on Mac. Installed netbird the “usual way” ( Installation - NetBird Dashboard )”, then also with the installer in the documentation, and finally also with HomeBrew. It works, but only from the terminal, no icon in the menu tray

Latest Mac OS Tahoe 26.3.1 and latest netbird 0.66.4.

Obviously I’m doing something wrong because I can see the tray in youtube videos and many mentions it.

I’m on Windows and sometimes I don’t have the NeBird-Icon in the tray, but netbird is running. Then I start NetBird again and the icon appears in the tray.

Might be something similar on Mac OS.

No, this is not the problem. Like suggested, I never have seen the icon in the menu bar.

Hi! When extensively working with Netbird for a long time, I noticed many tim…es, that it suddenly disappears from top bar of Mac OS. But I see otherwise. After that when I click on NetBird application - it does not appear in top bar, but focus is jumping back to Finder window. It is very weird. But it helps to restart the laptop - then again everything is fine.

I feel a bit better now …
