We’re excited to share the latest updates and developments with NetBird since our previous newsletter. In addition to the new capabilities, we’ve worked on a lot of performance improvements as well.

NetBird Python Client (Unofficial)

NetBird is strengthened by community contributions. We’d like to highlight the NetBird Python Client library created by Bhushan Rane that provides complete access to all NetBird API resources with a simple, intuitive UI. This client follows the same upstream schemas as the official NetBird REST APIs, ensuring full compatibility and consistency with the NetBird ecosystem.

NetBird now available on OPNsense

Close on the heels of releasing the integration with pfSense, NetBird is now available on OPNsense. This integration allows you to streamline your network management by moving your access control from complex, error-prone firewall rules to NetBird’s centralized platform. Simply permit all traffic on the new NetBird interface in OPNsense, and manage granular access control policies via NetBird.

NetBird is now available on the AWS Marketplace

We’re excited to announce that NetBird is now available on the AWS Marketplace. Get our radically simple, Zero Trust Network Access solution as a SaaS offering. NetBird combines the simplicity of WireGuard with enterprise-grade features like SSO and contextual access controls. The pricing model is flexible, based on actual usage per active user and machine.

Traffic Events Logging

NetBird’s Traffic Events Logging (in Beta) provides comprehensive insights into network connections, enabling you to see both successful and blocked peer-to-peer and peer-to-network resource connections. Also, you can limit logging to specific groups of peers for more focused analysis. This data can be streamed to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, and logs are retained for seven days.
