Multiple services for the same domain

Describe the problem

I am unable to create a TCP / UDP passthrough service for the exactly same domain in Netbird’s Reverse Proxy feature.

I connected my Nextcloud AIO instance to my self-hosted Netbird server. It runs really well if it weren’t for one thing: I run Nextcloud Talk as well. Nextcloud Talk’s STUN and TURN server needs the port 3478 for both TCP and UDP. In my previous setup with ordinary port forwarding (home router → home server), this worked perfectly fine for the exact same domain. Now, though, Netbird prevents me from adding TCP and UDP services to the same domain using the reverse proxy feature. The reason being: “This domain is already used by another service.”.

Yes? This domain will:
serve Nextcloud via port 443

-> is supposed to serve TURN on 3478 TCP

-> is supposed to serve TURN on 3478 UDP

I think this is a bug. I’d like to completely switch to my Netbird server, and this issue needs to be resolved.

Note: I noticed that Netbird itself uses port 3478 as well. Of course, I could also assign another port.

Expected behavior:

Being able to create multiple services for the same domain.

Are you using NetBird Cloud?

I self-host my own Netbird server in a datacenter.

NetBird version

Management v0.79.0

Have you tried these troubleshooting steps?

  • Reviewed client troubleshooting (if applicable)
  • Checked for newer NetBird versions
  • Searched for similar issues on GitHub (including closed ones)
  • Restarted the NetBird client
  • Disabled other VPN software
  • Checked firewall settings

I would recommend making a bug report for this on the github. This sounds more like an bug then just something to troubleshoot still.
