I have noticed that after using Time Machine to back up and restore my MacOS system, the machines are identified as the same one in NetBird’s Peer, but their serial numbers can be distinguished. This leads to confusion in the analysis of my machine. It takes a long time to use. Moreover, it seems that two different machines cannot be online at the same time. Could you help me solve this problem?
Hi @Mickey_Xian
This is expected. The NetBird config of your two macs are identical due to being restored from TM backup. Both have the same private key and static IP address on the network which can’t work well.
Run a sudo cat /etc/netbird/config.json (DON’T post the content ) on both machines and compare the content.
I recommend to deregister the new (restored) mac and join it as a new machine!
