Hiya all!
Looking to move from Tailscale to a self-hosted solution and found Netbird. However, I’m currently lost and struggling to install the server aspect of this on unRAID via docker. Has anybody done this and if so, which containers, etc are needed to have a successful instance?
Thanks!
Kian
In most cases I recommend installing this on a VPS so you can have some separation between your NetBird network and your home services. This also makes it so you don’t have to open any ports. If you NEED to have this in your local UnRaid server, you’ll have a much better experience running the QuickStart script on a VM.
This specificly, NetBird needs more access then in 1 go Unraid can provide you with, hence the quick installs script for VM’s. It’s possible, but it just takes a ton of effort to do so.
Hi!
Thanks for the help
Would a VM within unRAID suffice?
Thanks!
