Explaining your issue
When you open the Community Support forum, you’ll get a template. This template is used for additional assistance with issues specificly regarding NetBird (nabbed from the GitHub issue form).
This gives people assisting you the most possible information to assist you. Once you awnser all these questions. People can respond to your post.
Voting on posts
Every support thread has a “vote” button. Across the entire Discource site, you have access to a certain number of “votes”.
What you’ll be able to use this for posts that people want assistance on, and to clarify you aren’t the only one with an issue.
Tests are still being ran with the voting feature, so bare with us as we run this forum.
Solutions
Lets say someone provides you with a solution for your issue. Instead of people having to search half your thread for a response to your awnser. We encourage you to use the “solution” button to clarify your issue was solved by the person in question. This helps us by sorting out the “I have an issue and could never solve it” between the “I have an issue and this is how it was solved”.
When an issue is solved, it’s awnser will be posted below the top most post. And from there, you can skip to the solution. Additionally, a timer will start for 7 days. Once there have been no more posts within those 7 days, the topic is closed.
Additionally, if the topic creator has abandoned their post. People can request manual approvers (@manual-approvers) to bypass the TC and manually approve an awnser (provided more then 1 person was able to solve their issue according to the instructions mentioned).
