Pfsense doesnt see netbird interface during boot

Describe the problem

When I reboot pfSense, I get an “interface mismatch” error and have to reassign interfaces manually. If I try to assign wt0 to NetBird in Interfaces → Assignments, the interface disappears after reboot (no wt0 available to select).

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install NetBird on pfSense and assign wt0 as an interface.
  2. Reboot pfSense.
  3. pfSense fails to detect wt0 during boot, throws “interface mismatch,” and requires manual reassignment.

Expected behavior

pfSense should boot normally and automatically detect wt0 as an interface after NetBird service starts.

Interface mismatch every time I reboot, no matter how I add the interface wt0… If I reboot with it, I’ll have to assign all interfaces because of the mismatch.

I’m using a standalone VM.

Same exact behavior I am seeing here.

Bear with me on the lack of knowladge that I have with pfSense, do you still havbe this issue? Or has an update solved this. Furthermore, if it hasn’t WOuld you possibly happen to have startup logs from pfSense?

I switched to opnsense. I don’t have this issue now.
